Cosmetology

HairThe 1600 clock hour cosmetology program is designed to prepare students for the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination and subsequent profitable employment in the field of cosmetology. The knowledge and skills gained through this course of study will prepare the licensed graduate for work as a cosmetologist, hair stylist, hair colorist, product technician, demonstrator, cosmetology salon owner or manager, as well as other industry related occupations. This program can be completed in as little as nine months and a maximum of thirteen months.  This program is NACCAS accredited, which means that U.S. Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance is available to students who qualify.

            Cosmetology program classes are Monday through Friday, with Saturdays offered as an optional attendance day. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Depending upon attendance and scheduling it is possible that a student could complete this program in as short a period as nine months. The maximum completion time frame is thirteen months.

            Advanced training in Cosmetology and refresher programs are also available. These programs do not qualify for financial assistance. The minimum length of a brush-up or advanced program is twenty-five hours, the maximum is one hundred hours.


Nail Tech

nailsThe 600 clock hour nail technology program is designed to prepare its students for the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination and subsequent profitable employment in the field of nail technology.  The knowledge and skills gained through this course of study will prepare the licensed graduate for work as a nail technician, manicurist, pedicurist, product technician, demonstrator, nail salon owner or manager, as well as other industry related occupations.  This program is NACCAS accredited, which means that U.S. Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance is available to students who qualify.

            Nail Technology program classes are Monday through Friday, with Saturdays offered as an optional attendance day. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Classes begin the first Monday of each month. Depending upon attendance and scheduling it is possible that a student could complete this program in as short a period as three and one half months. The maximum completion time frame is six months.

          

Massage Therapy

massageThe 700 clock hour Massage Therapy program is designed to prepare its students for the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy licensing and subsequent profitable employment in the field of massage therapy. The knowledge and skills gained through this course of study will prepare the licensed graduate for work as a massage therapist in a wide variety of employment venues including medical, sports, and spa environments as well as general massage therapy an other industry related occupations. This program is NACCAS accredited, which means that U.S. Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance is available to students who qualify.

            Massage Therapy program classes are Monday through Friday, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Classes begin quarterly on the first Mondays of March, June, September, and December.

The Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy and Charles of Italy Beauty College and School of Massage Therapy require that potential students have a high school diploma, GED, or an official certified copy of their high school transcript clearly indicating successful completion of the course of study and graduation.

Instructor Training

trainingThe 650 clock hour Instructor Training Program is designed to prepare students for the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination and subsequent profitable employment in the field of cosmetology education.  The knowledge and skills gained through the course of study will prepare the licensed graduate for work as a teacher of cosmetology, school owner or administrator, as well as a variety of other industry related occupations. The Arizona State Board of Cosmetology license requirements can be found at the Board’s website: www.azboc.gov. This program is NACCAS accredited, which means that U.S. Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance is available to students who qualify.

Charles of Italy Beauty College and School of Massage Therapy requires that potential students have a high school diploma, GED, or an official certified copy of their high school transcript clearly indicating successful completion of the course of study and graduation.

            Instructor Training program classes are Monday through Friday, with Saturdays offered as an optional attendance day. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Depending upon attendance and scheduling, it is possible that a student could complete this program in as short a period as four months. The maximum completion time frame is seven months. Students who exceed their contract period may be subject to overtime charges for each hour of overtime required to complete their program. The current charge for overtime if $9.00 per hour.
